The EntrePass is an Employment Pass for foreign entrepreneurs who would like to start businesses in Singapore. Entrepass is designed specially to facilitate entrepreneurs who want to set up a new business and will be actively engaged in the operation of the company in Singapore.
EntrePass, with an initial validity period of up to 2 years will be issued upon approval. Your immediate family can also live in Singapore while you commence your business here. The pass is renewable for as long as the business remains feasible.
EntrePass applicants will be assessed on the feasibility of their proposed business plan, which should include the nature of the business, products or services to be offered, development plans and milestones, projected sales turnover, amount of investment and local job creation.
Approval is dependent on the type of business you intend to set up. Businesses not of an entrepreneurial nature (e.g. coffee shops/hawker centres/food courts, foot reflexology/massage parlors, karaoke lounges, money changing/remitting, newspaper vending, geomancy and tuition services etc) will not be considered for an EntrePass.
The applicant is recommended to apply for the Entrepreneur Pass before the formation of the new company in Singapore so there isn't a need for a Singapore nominee director or you can also apply for the Entrepreneur Pass within 6 months from the date of formation of the company.

For foreign entrepreneurs, you may also apply for an Employment Pass if you wish to be actively involved in daily operation of your business and reside in Singapore. However you will need to incorporate your company first and appoint a local resident manager (business firm and limited liability partnership) or a locally resident director (company). "Local resident" means that the person can be a Singapore Citizen, Singapore PR, EntrePass holder or Dependant Pass holder and resides in Singapore while waiting for your application to be approved. Foreign professionals and executives who wish to work in Singapore may also wish to apply for an Employment Pass (EP). There is no levy for Employment Pass holder.
There are 3 categories of EP: P1, P2 and Q1 Pass. The P Pass is for foreigner seeking professional, managerial or executive and specialist jobs. Compensatory factors such as skills and years of work experience may be taken into consideration for Q1 applications. All Employment Pass holders are eligible to apply for the Dependant's Pass and/or Long-Term Visit Pass for their family members.
